Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information BailHub collects about members and the public, how it is used and protected, and how to make a request about it.

Effective October 9, 2026

1. Information members give us

  • Account details: legal name, display name, email address, phone number and professional role.
  • Verification information: license numbers and types, agency details, and documents you upload for review, such as a license card or government ID.
  • Profile and agency information you choose to publish to other members.
  • Messages, posts, assignments, transfer requests and other content you create on the network.

2. Information collected automatically

We record sign-in activity, IP addresses, device information and security events to protect accounts, and we log searches of arrest information to enforce plan limits and detect bulk extraction. We do not use advertising trackers.

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a preference cookie to remember your light or dark theme.

3. Arrest and booking records

Arrest and booking information comes from public county records through a data provider and is displayed on demand. BailHub does not keep a copy of those records. When a record or photograph is removed at the source, it is suppressed everywhere on the network.

Records may be incomplete or out of date. We never charge a fee to remove a booking photograph or any other record. BailHub is not a consumer reporting agency, and information on the network may not be used for any purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

4. How we use information

  • To verify credentials and operate the network.
  • To show your profile to other verified members according to your directory and contact settings.
  • To send notifications you have asked for, and account and security messages.
  • To process subscriptions through our payment provider.
  • To keep the network secure, investigate misuse and meet legal obligations.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the network, such as payment processing through Stripe, email delivery and hosting, and when required by law. Card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored on our systems.

6. Security and retention

Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, sensitive fields are encrypted, uploaded documents are kept in private storage, and access to confidential documents is logged. Each agency's private information is kept separate from every other agency's. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal and audit requirements.

7. Your choices and requests

Members can update their profile, hide it from the directory and change notification settings at any time. Anyone can ask what information we hold about them, or ask us to correct or delete it, through the contact page. Some records must be kept for security, audit or legal reasons.

8. Children

The network is for professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We will post changes to this policy on this page and tell members about material changes before they take effect.
